About Emma
Emma has spent nearly two decades carving a niche in the public sector, focusing almost exclusively on designing and developing innovative solutions to complex problems. Her passion for design led approaches, while not a designer by trade, has dominated her work on significant transformation projects across central and local government.
She's held key leadership roles, including Director positions at Surrey County Council and the London boroughs of Hackney and Camden. At Hackney, she headed a complex recovery program for social care following a devastating cyber-attack in 2021. And during the pandemic, her work at Camden was instrumental in developing the early models for food distribution that were adopted by other boroughs.
Before her local government journey, Emma was instrumental to the success of the leading digital design firm, FutureGov and served as an Associate Director at Social Finance, where she focused on designing innovative children's services. Driven by a desire to improve the public sector's ability to meet society's evolving needs, Emma's work is a testament to her dedication to public service reform.
